Chef Gemma Ellis of Clifford's, Fetter Lane, London, has joined forces with Firecrown founder James Shea for an evening of delicious canapes paired with whisky.
On the site of the former Clifford's Inn, first built in the 12th century, Clifford's serves simple modern classics featuring beautiful meat, fish and vegetables sourced as much as possible from the British Isles. For this ticket-only event, Gemma will be creating a menu of four small plates: cured salmon, green apple and spelt; venison gyoza with pickled walnuts (pictured); game terrine with crab apple jelly; and crackers with Montgomery cheddar and quince. Each will be expertly paired with a whisky selected by Firecrown, enjoyed as part of a guided tasting.

Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai of Kutir, Chelsea, has collaborated with Firecrown founder James Shea to present a very special evening of modern Indian food and whisky.
Guests will be welcomed with a Madhosh, Kutir's signature whisky cocktail, before enjoying a five-course guided tasting menu delicately paired with fine Scotch and Indian whiskies, which will be served upstairs in Kutir's elegant private dining room.
